The Trepmaker Team from California, USA was composed of John Frykenberg, Sarah Philips and Raoul Pascual finished a Job Making Seminar at the Olabisi Onabanjo University in the city of Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria.
About 1,200 students participated in this 4 day seminar (there were some local issues that prevented the full 5 days). Handbooks were specially printed and issued out.
There was a practice Business Plan they were supposed to fill out as a team and then as individuals. The students were given 2 months to complete their final business plan. Ten of the best plans will be sent to the United States where a panel of judges will vote the two top plans based on creativity, comprehensive insights and the overall feasibility of turning the idea into a reality. The top two winners will be awarded brand new Blue laptops courtesy of the Rotary and all of its sponsors.
The students were encouraged to use this Trepmaker website to post comments and suggestions.
It is the hope of Trepmakers that this website will be a meeting place where real businesses will find their start.
The Trepmakers want to thank the Olabisi Onabanjo University, its leaders and the Rotary of Ago-Iwoye for their warm and generous welcome. The students were very enthusiastic and excited. This was a very successful event.
